Children’s Sunday School

Children’s Sunday School is provided weekly during the service

Nursery: 6 months through 2 years

Preschool: 3 years through 5 years

Elementary: 1st grade through 5th grade

Middle & High School (twice monthly)

Monthly Youth Events

Open to youth and their families, our monthly youth events are a chance for kids and families to find fellowship and have fun.

Join us as we go apple picking, bowling, fishing, or to a baseball game.

Vacation Bible School

August 3-7, 2026
In honor of Friendship’s 70th Anniversary, we will be looking back at some of the Heroes of the Hill District while also learning about Heroes of our Faith from the Hebrews 12 “Clouds of Witnesses” passage. Join us for a week of good food, fellowship, art, storytelling, and recreation.
Ages 3-12 (youth over 12 are welcome to register as volunteer helpers)

Back-to-School Community Day

Join us at the church for a cookout, games, and activities as our kids head back to school.

Calling all elementary-aged students! Join us for some skill development and friendly competition every Tuesday at the Wadsworth Courts in Oak Hill.

Family Apple Picking Outing

Sunday, October 4 after service
Families of all ages are invited to apple picking at Simmons farm. Pizza and one basket of apples per family will be provided. We ask that families each bring an item to share with the group — fruit, veggies, or a snack.
We will eat pizza immediately after service and head out to the farm. No registration is required but the Youth Activity Registration and Waiver is required for any child attending without an adult.

Community Harvest Party

Saturday, October 31
5-7pm
No need to leave Oakland for better candy in other neighborhoods! Join your neighbors on Halloween evening, from 5 to 7pm at Friendship Community Church for our annual Harvest Party. Stay the whole time, or make it a stop as you trick-or-treat in West Oakland. Carnival-style games will be set up for kids to earn tickets to trade in for prizes and pizza and snacks will be served. Crafts will be available for children and adults. All ages are welcome.
